Former Vice President Kamala Harris recently spoke at a Democratic event, criticizing the Trump administration as “the most corrupt, callous, and incompetent presidential administration we’ve ever seen.” This comment drew criticism from Fox News contributor Joe Concha, who labeled her rhetoric as “dangerous.” Concha referred to past “assassination attempts” on President Trump and criticized Harris for not moderating her language despite the rise in political violence.
In a separate incident, Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies responded to Kamala Harris’ Malibu home on Friday night after a woman appeared uninvited twice. According to reports, the woman arrived via Uber and attempted to contact security at the home, which is valued at $8 million. She was instructed to leave but returned later, prompting Harris’ security team to alert the authorities after 10 p.m.
“We are stepping up patrols of the property to be safe,” said Lt. Jason Duron, a watch commander at the Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff’s station.
Harris’ spokesperson, Eduardo Negrón, explained to The Times, “Last night, security personnel stopped an individual who illegally entered Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman [Doug] Emhoff’s property before the individual reached the home. They are grateful to the security and law enforcement personnel who responded swiftly.” Neither Harris nor her husband, Doug Emhoff, were at home during the incident.
The Secret Service protection for Harris was extended an extra year beyond the usual term by former President Joe Biden, but it was revoked by President Donald Trump last year.
Harris, a native of California, previously served as District Attorney of San Francisco, Attorney General of California, and as a U.S. senator from the state before becoming vice president on Biden’s ticket.
