A California pizza shop is at the center of a major drug trafficking investigation. Kawal Preet Singh, an Indian national residing illegally in the United States, faces charges for allegedly using a Dinuba Round Table Pizza to sell significant amounts of methamphetamine.
Federal prosecutors indicted Singh, 50, on drug and firearm charges. Authorities reportedly discovered over 40 pounds of meth, three guns, and more than $10,000 in cash linked to the business operations. Singh allegedly distributed these large quantities from the pizza restaurant located about 30 miles southeast of Fresno.
The Round Table Pizza has since been reported permanently closed as investigations continue. Singh pled not guilty at his arraignment and remains out of custody. FAT Brands, the parent company of Round Table Pizza, stated that the restaurant was independently owned and the owners were unaware of illicit activities.
Search warrants led federal agents to Singh’s home and the restaurant on August 18. Agents allegedly found approximately 13.8 kilograms—or over 30 pounds—of meth at Singh’s residence. An additional 4.9 kilograms were found in his vehicle.
The investigation into Singh began with information about a suspected drug trafficker in Fresno. The suspect, known as “Camy,” was identified as a Sikh Indian male involved in trucking and drug trafficking networks. Singh was later pinpointed as a key figure in the investigation.
If convicted, Singh faces a minimum of 10 years in federal prison for drug charges. The firearm count could add at least five more years to his sentence. His next federal court appearance is scheduled for November 4.
“The charges leveled against Singh are allegations, and he is considered innocent until proven guilty in court,” prosecutors emphasized.
