This weekend marks the final occasion that the Freedom 250 Grand Prix will be held using the historic landmarks of Washington D.C. as part of the nation’s birthday celebrations.
Event Details
Starting Saturday, the event will feature a 1.66-mile track where a total of 25 IndyCars will race. The cars will speed past significant sites including the U.S. Capitol, the Smithsonian museums, and additional landmarks around the National Mall.
Race Format
Participants in the Freedom 250 Grand Prix will compete over 147 laps, covering a total distance of 250 miles.
