Jamie Kennedy recently discussed what he perceives as hypocrisy in the United States during a solo episode of his podcast, “Hate to Break It to Ya.” In this episode, he touched on current events, including the Fauci hearings and ongoing discussions about the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kennedy expressed concerns about the public’s reaction to the pandemic, stating that some people today are ‘beyond brainwashed.’ He highlighted that people have labeled him a ‘maggot’ for his political views due to his occasional agreement with Republican actions.
Despite leaning right, Kennedy noted he has never voted and also supports some liberal policies. He feels stigmatized for agreeing with certain policies, such as securing borders under Trump. Kennedy sees those who focus on policy over party as ‘open-minded,’ and criticized the left for their perceived lack of leniency.
“How can you say that you’re the party of inclusion when you don’t include us?” Kennedy questioned, emphasizing the need for dialogue and open exploration of different ideas.
He also shared a personal experience of performing a comedy set in a parking lot to support a struggling bar under lockdown restrictions. Kennedy contrasted this with a nearby television crew operating without issues due to state approval, which he termed as hypocritical.
He accused some on the left of being judgmental and repressive, reducing their arguments to mere words rather than actions, claiming right-leaning individuals, in contrast, are more likely to stand by their opinions.
Kennedy cited reactions to the murder of Charlie Kirk to illustrate his point, condemning those who seemed to celebrate Kirk’s death as ‘beyond sick.’ He criticized leftist individuals for demanding inclusion but not practicing it, leading to destructive behavior when their desires are unmet.
Concluding his comments, Kennedy described this behavior as a ‘cult of closed-mindedness,’ contrasting it with his call for open-minded discussions.
