Investigation Underway After Man Dies Post-Warped Tour Incident

Police in Long Beach are investigating the death of a man who attended the Warped Tour on July 26. The man, identified as David Granado Jr., suffered a brain injury during the event and was taken to a hospital, where he passed away several days later. Authorities are yet to determine the exact circumstances surrounding his injury.

Granado attended the punk music festival with his girlfriend, brother, and friends. His family has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to help piece together the events leading to his hospitalization. Although an initial investigation by Long Beach police did not reveal any evidence of foul play, an ongoing inquiry seeks to uncover further details.

The Long Beach Police Department stated that they were informed on July 29 about an individual in critical condition at a local hospital. It was established that Granado had been transported to the hospital by a private medical company after attending the Warped Tour. Unfortunately, he passed away on July 31.

The Los Angeles County medical examiner will ascertain the cause of death, and an investigation is ongoing to establish if any criminal activity occurred. Meanwhile, representatives of the Warped Tour have not yet commented on the incident.

The Warped Tour has been a fixture in the punk, ska, and rock music scenes for several decades. It recently resumed after a long hiatus for its 30th anniversary. Future events are scheduled in cities including Montreal, Mexico City, Orlando, and Washington, D.C.
