The shooting took place around 1:25 p.m., with one victim declared dead at the scene while another succumbed to injuries later at a nearby hospital. The third person injured was hospitalized for treatment, as reported by CBS News Detroit.
Police conveyed that the victims were young males, possibly in their late teens or early twenties.

The incident triggered panic, compelling an evacuation of the mall. Social media footage appeared to capture people fleeing the location upon hearing gunshots. During the commotion, a person was hit by a vehicle outside the mall.
