Minnesota Brothers Raise Funds for Veterans through Lemonade Stand

Two brothers from Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Noah and Cole Dingels, have been recognized as emerging leaders among a new generation of American patriots. Their lemonade stand has successfully raised significant funds for a nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans. At ages 11 and 8, Noah and Cole first launched their stand five years ago during a golf tournament organized by ‘Tee It Up for the Troops’, a nonprofit that holds events around the country to help American veterans.

‘Tee It Up for the Troops’ supports veterans through six key areas: PTSD and traumatic brain injury assistance, suicide awareness and prevention, employment opportunities, sports and recreation, housing, and support for families and caregivers.

The national organization hosts tournaments nationwide to support its six-pillar mission of helping American veterans when they return from war.

Initially, in their first stint at the golf tournament, the Dingels brothers raised $359. This success inspired them to expand their efforts. Over the years, they have managed to raise $60,000 for the nonprofit. They explained to Fox News Digital that adding candy bars and golf balls to their offerings, alongside lemonade, increased their sales. The most popular item among tournament players is the Snickers candy bar.

According to their mother, Angela, the lemonade stand not only raises money but also serves to express gratitude and patriotism. The boys have secured local sponsors who contribute to their cause. Community members and classmates frequently stop by their stand to show support and encouragement.

During events, the brothers meet veterans and express their thanks for the veterans’ service. Among those veterans is Harry Wisdom, a highly decorated U.S. Army helicopter pilot from the Vietnam War, awarded the Silver Star. Wisely utilizing this honor, Wisdom decided to present his Silver Star as a token of appreciation to Noah and Cole for their efforts in supporting veterans.

He wrote them an incredible letter, and so it’s just been a very special connection that we look forward to every year.

‘Tee It Up for the Troops’, founded in 2005 and based in Burnsville, Minnesota, is led by Chris LaRocque, an Army Reserve officer. LaRocque shared that the organization has successfully raised over $19 million to support veterans and their families, impacting around 400,000 military families over its 21-year history.

Apart from organizing numerous golf tournaments, ‘Tee It Up for the Troops’ holds an annual event called REUNION in Florida. This event aims to reconnect combat veterans and their family members through shared stories and experiences.

LaRocque expressed admiration for Noah and Cole Dingels and their commitment to a cause bigger than themselves. Their efforts send a positive message on the 250th anniversary of the country’s founding, showcasing the younger generation’s engagement in community service. He also emphasized the importance of supporting veterans, acknowledging the sacrifices made by those who have served the nation.

In his reporting for Fox News Digital, Peter D’Abrosca covers political developments.
