Cedric Alexander Defends TNA X Division Title at Slammiversary

Cedric Alexander faced a tough challenge as he defended his Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) X Division Championship at Slammiversary in an Ultimate X match. The event marked the 55th Ultimate X match in TNA history. Alexander took on Amazing Red, Frankie Kazarian, Fabian Aichner, Leon Slater, KC Navarro, and Mr. Elegance.

With Red appearing in a TNA ring for the first time in around 15 years, the match featured competitors climbing pillars and traversing cables above the ring to grab the title belt.

During the match, Alexander, Kazarian, Red, and Aichner made simultaneous attempts on the belt. Alexander managed to topple Aichner, while Red and Kazarian fell to the mat, giving them an opportunity to display their enduring skills. Mr. Elegance tried his luck, only to be thwarted by Navarro.

The action continued with Red stepping into the ring with Navarro to deliver a Code Red. He executed the same move on Kazarian before attempting to claim the title, only for Slater to intercept him.

Slater built momentum, aware his path to the title was blocked. He executed a double blockbuster against Aichner, Elegance, Kazarian, and Navarro. Racing Red for the title on the cable line, Slater unhooked the belt as he and Red hung from the cables.

In a dramatic turn, Alexander entered and seized the belt from Slater, securing the win as neither Slater nor Red touched the mat. Thus, Alexander retained the X Division Championship he initially won from Slater, momentarily halting Slater’s historic aspirations.
