Discovery of Remains in Foreclosed Connecticut House

The new owner of a foreclosed home in Burlington, Connecticut, stumbled upon a startling discovery. The authorities reported that the skeletal remains of three individuals were found inside the house shortly after purchase.

State Police stated that on June 14, the new homeowner alerted them to the presence of these suspicious remains. While the identities and causes of death for these individuals remain unknown, officials noted there were no signs of foul play, suggesting the deaths were isolated incidents.

The residence, built in 2002 in a Cape Cod style, was purchased at an auction on June 6 for $525,000 by Edward Marchion. Court documents reveal that the property came with a fair market value of $820,000. Despite attempts, Mr. Marchion could not be reached for comments regarding the discovery.

The previous homeowners, Paul and Sally Anne Cash, had acquired a substantial loan of nearly $400,000, serviced by Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing, before the house faced foreclosure. Mr. Marchion made an initial deposit of $82,000 towards the purchase.
