Knicks Plan White House Visit While Seahawks Face Uncertainty

The New York Knicks have accepted an invitation from the White House to celebrate their NBA championship, as confirmed by team owner James Dolan. Details of the visit are still pending, including the date, size of the group, and player attendance. Dolan expressed his pride in taking the team to the White House, noting his long-standing acquaintance with President Donald Trump.

President Trump attended the Knicks’ Game 3 against the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden, witnessing their only loss in the NBA Championship Series. The Knicks triumphed over the Spurs 4-1 in the series, clinching the title in San Antonio on June 13, 2026.

Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks’ potential visit to the White House remains uncertain. Despite winning the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots in February, there has been no confirmed visit. The White House press office indicated the situation is still in limbo.

The Seahawks’ offseason program ended on June 11, with players and staff now on break. The next full gathering is expected in late July before training camp. This timeline complicates arranging a visit, as rallying players from across the country is challenging during their break. Moreover, training camps are not typically interrupted for such visits.

There is the possibility of coordinating a visit during the NFL regular season. The Seahawks are scheduled to play the Washington Commanders on September 27. This timing could offer a chance for a White House visit if Seattle adjusts its travel plans. However, NFL coaches generally prefer maintaining standard travel routines, focusing on away games as business rather than entertainment, even with the prospect of a White House tour.
