Federal presence in Memphis began in September, augmenting efforts to combat crime. National Police Association spokesperson Sgt. According to the White House, since the task force’s inception, over 7,400 arrests have occurred related to homicides, sexual crimes, gang activities, and drug trafficking. Authorities have seized 1,219 illegal weapons and found 150 missing children.
