ESPN reports that Shanahan sustained several injuries, including a broken nose, three fractured ribs, a broken hand, over 40 facial stitches, and a severe concussion.
In a statement, the 49ers confirmed Shanahan’s injuries are not life-threatening. He will take part in team activities on a limited basis as he begins recovery at the start of training camp. The team expressed gratitude to all the first responders involved, acknowledging their efforts and care.
