Recently, a captivating piece of nature footage has gained widespread attention online. Nature videos frequently go viral due to their endearing and often awe-inspiring content. However, this particular video showcases an unusual scene that has intrigued viewers.
The video, shared by WiseEye on Facebook, features a remarkable white-tailed buck, but its appearance is far from ordinary. The footage reveals the buck wandering in a wooded area in Colorado with wire tangled in its antlers. Additionally, other antlers appear to hang from the buck’s own antlers, creating a striking image.
The occurrence of a buck with foreign objects in its antlers is uncommon, though not impossible. Such situations can arise after two male deer engage in combat. In previous instances, I’ve observed photos where bucks had antlers and parts of a skull entangled in their rack. The presence of wire in this video adds a curious twist, raising questions about whether the buck might have had an altercation near a fence, leading to the entanglement.
The video has captivated viewers with its peculiar and unexpected nature. To share your thoughts, you can reach out to David Hookstead via email at [email protected].
