Trump and Cohen Reunite for Radio Interview

In a surprising interview on Thursday, former President Donald Trump reunited with his one-time personal lawyer, Michael Cohen. The discussion took place on Cohen’s radio show and marked their first public conversation in nearly a decade. Cohen, who had become an adversary of Trump after their fallout, has since reconciled with the former president. During the interview, they spoke about Cohen’s 2016 CNN appearance where he famously challenged a poll showing Trump trailing.

Cohen recalled telling CNN host Brianna Keilar, ‘says who,’ which quickly went viral. He stated, “Do you remember, sir, when I went on CNN and she told me you were underwater in the polls?” This remark garnered significant attention at the time.

Michael Cohen, former attorney for President Donald Trump, released the first part of his interview with the president on his radio show Thursday.

President Trump responded by claiming Cohen was “weaponized” by the media, saying that not many have been targeted to the same extent. “They weaponized a lot of people. And I respect the fact that you recanted everything you said,” Trump added, recognizing Cohen’s change in stance.

Cohen recalled Trump offering support after the interview by saying, “F— them. You’re stronger than them. We’ve got this.” The mention highlighted the tension between Trump and certain media outlets.

The radio session was the first public dialogue between Trump and Cohen in years. Trump expressed frustration with media outlets like CNN and The New York Times for not apologizing or retracting earlier reports, which he described as unfair. Trump stated, “The polls are crooked,” and criticized dishonest reporting in mainstream media.

Both Donald Trump and Michael Cohen criticized the mainstream media on Cohen’s radio show.

Fox News Digital contacted CNN, MS NOW, and The New York Times for comments but did not get immediate responses. Cohen’s interview with Trump is set to air in two parts. The first part has already been released, while the second part is scheduled for Cohen’s Sunday show, “When You Know You Know.” This exchange follows Cohen’s detailed Substack post about their reunion.
