Woods Addresses Notah Begay
On Tuesday night, Woods appeared in a pre-recorded video message during the Payne Stewart Award ceremony. He congratulated fellow former professional golfer, Notah Begay, on his significant contributions to the sport and community.
“You first came into my life when I was 11 years old, playing in the junior world, and you came to watch me play. Our friendship has started there and never ended,” Woods stated in the video.
Woods praised Begay for his accomplishments both on and off the golf course. He noted Begay’s philanthropic work benefiting local Native American communities, helping over 80,000 youths and their families.
Begay received the Payne Stewart Award, honoring his character, sportsmanship, and charitable efforts as a professional golfer.

While Woods’ message was supportive, fans expressed mixed reactions to his appearance on social media. Some fans noted concern about Woods’ appearance, citing his facial hair and overall demeanor as worrying signs.
