At the molecular level, life on Earth exhibits a distinct pattern. For example, all living organisms’ DNA twists to the right, while the proteins favor a left-handed orientation. This pattern forms the basis for life’s chemistry.

Recently, researchers have been exploring the concept of a mirror version of life. Although the technology required to create mirror life at the cellular level does not yet exist, it could become a reality in the future. This prospect has alarmed some scientists.

A group of these concerned scientists has published a detailed 299-page technical report. The report advocates for halting the advancement of this technology due to its potential to threaten life on Earth.
