Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) is competing against Representative John Rose (R-Tenn.) for the Republican nomination in Tennessee’s gubernatorial race. This contest has generated interest due to the state’s traditional Republican leanings. Blackburn has held the advantage for much of the race; however, recent polls suggest a tighter competition with Rose, a four-term congressman representing parts of Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
