Lang arrived with six associates in two vehicles around 11:50 a.m. Both vehicles drove onto the sidewalk near City Hall, leading to clashes between vehicle-associated individuals and the gathered crowd.
In efforts to control the situation, police deployed chemical irritants and faced thrown objects. Officers surrounded the vehicles and tried to move them from the crowd as tension escalated. Another GoFundMe by Keyssy Ayala Castro Figueroa, featuring Spider-Man photos and Love’s mugshot, raised over $10,000. Love described feeling compelled to act at the rally, citing injuries from the incident impacting his health and future.
