Spencer Pratt’s Social Media Post After Mayoral Defeat

Former reality TV star Spencer Pratt shared a post on social media after losing the Los Angeles mayoral race. The post featured a photo of a duck on water with a sunset in the background, shared on the platform X. Pratt provided no caption or explanation for the image.

The race concluded with Nithya Raman winning at 7:55 p.m. ET on Monday. Raman, a progressive city council member, is set to face the incumbent, Mayor Karen Bass, in the November runoff. As of Tuesday 8:54 p.m. ET, Bass led with 34.3% of the votes, Raman followed with 29%, and Pratt had 25.5% with nearly all votes counted.

Pratt’s defeat came after a tightly watched primary where Raman advanced to the runoff against Bass. Pratt remained a potential contender while ballots were counted, but the final results tilted in Raman’s favor. This outcome reshapes the political landscape for the upcoming November match-up between two established Los Angeles political figures.

Despite losing the race, Pratt’s unconventional campaign received significant media coverage and sparked considerable online discussion. He was a vocal critic of city leadership following the destructive fires in Los Angeles County last year, which destroyed his home.

As of 9:42 p.m. ET, Pratt’s post-election image on X garnered over 335,000 views and more than 1,000 replies. A review of Pratt’s social media, including X, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, indicates this is his first permanent post since the race was called for Raman.

This is an ongoing story with updates to follow.
