Sharon Osbourne took to social media to honor her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne, on what would have marked their 46th wedding anniversary. The Black Sabbath frontman passed away at 76 years old on July 22, 2025.
“Today would have been our 46th wedding anniversary,” she wrote alongside a photo of the couple holding hands. “Instead, it is a celebration of a love that even death could not diminish. I miss your hand in mine, but I carry your love with me every step of the way. Forever my husband. Forever my heart.”
Her post received numerous supportive comments. Nicole Scherzinger sent her love, and Carrie Ann Inaba shared how a digital photo frame often shows pictures from Ozzy’s birthday. This reminds her of the enduring, beautiful love between Sharon and Ozzy.
Sharon and Ozzy met in the early 1970s. After Ozzy left Black Sabbath in 1979, Sharon became his manager, guiding his successful solo career. They married in Maui, Hawaii, on July 4, 1982, and had three children: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack. They faced many challenges, including addiction and health issues, but remained devoted to each other.
Their lives gained widespread attention from MTV’s show “The Osbournes,” which highlighted their family dynamics and Sharon’s unwavering support for Ozzy.
Kelly Osbourne also shared a poignant message on social media for her parents’ anniversary, expressing how different the day feels without her father. She conveyed sentiments of love that transcend life, describing how Ozzy remains a comforting presence.
A statement after Ozzy’s passing noted he was surrounded by family and love. As per his wishes, a private memorial was held, and he desired to be buried near a lake on his property. He revealed having Parkinson’s in 2022.
Ozzy expressed in a column years earlier his wish for his funeral to be a celebration rather than a sad event, even suggesting pranks to lighten the mood. Sharon and Ozzy renewed their vows in 2017.
