New video footage has surfaced that shows the possible disappearance of Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Waddell, a 43-year-old mother from North Carolina. The video, captured near the resort in Grenada where she was staying, suggests Waddell might have entered the water shortly before she went missing.
Waddell, a physical therapist from Cary, N.C., was last seen on July 22 at Grand Anse Beach. She was on a three-week vacation with a friend. According to police, she vanished following a swim.
The surveillance video, shared by her family on YouTube, shows a person resembling Waddell walking near a pool, holding a towel, and eventually moving close to the water for a swim.
This footage reportedly originates from an Airbnb property’s security camera, indicating possibly the last sighting of Waddell.
SEARCH INTENSIFIES FOR MISSING MOTHER
Liz’s husband, Cailen Waddell, expressed frustration over the lack of success in their search efforts. He mentioned consulting family, local authorities, the U.S. Embassy, and other parties in Grenada. Cailen stated that he concurs with the belief that there was no foul play involved in his wife’s disappearance.
Since arriving in Grenada on Friday, two days after Liz’s disappearance, he has been actively searching alongside local authorities.
During a recent news conference, Randy Connaught, the commissioner of the Royal Grenada Police Force, addressed Liz Waddell’s disappearance. He stated that conclusions have yet to be drawn regarding the circumstances of her vanishing.
The police have deployed dive teams, drones, and dogs in their efforts to find any signs of Waddell. The investigation remains ongoing, with detectives pursuing various leads. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
