The Baltimore Ravens have made a few roster changes, indicating rookie wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane’s potential return. On Tuesday, the team released wide receiver Chris Moore from the active roster and removed Xavier Guillory from the practice squad.
Lane, who injured his wrist in Week 1, is eligible to come off injured reserve this week. It is expected that Moore will join the practice squad, making room for Lane on the 53-man roster.
Head coach Jesse Minter has not dismissed the possibility of Lane playing in Sunday’s Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns. “Ja’Kobi’s done a really good job,” Minter stated on Monday. “From a conditioning standpoint, he’s in a real good place. We’ll assess things further on Wednesday.”
Lane impressed during training camp, earning trust from quarterback Lamar Jackson. As a third-round draft pick, Lane is expected to be a significant factor in the Ravens’ passing game upon his return.
Sunday’s game against the Browns is set to begin at 1 p.m. ET.
