President Donald Trump has unveiled a new federal initiative aimed at maintaining the United States’ leadership in artificial intelligence technology. The initiative is called the Super Intelligence Force (SIF) and aims to coordinate governmental efforts with various stakeholders, including consumers, public-interest and religious groups, infrastructure providers, and technology firms.
In a statement on Truth Social, Trump emphasized the importance of the Super Intelligence Force. He stated that the force is responsible for ensuring America’s continued dominance in the field of Super Intelligence.
The Super Intelligence Force is tasked with coordinating the effort of the Federal Government to ensure that America continues to lead the World in Super Intelligence.
President Trump highlighted the significance of this technology, comparing its impact to the Industrial Revolution and the Internet. He outlined plans to safeguard American interests while enhancing citizens’ quality of life. The initiative will be managed by senior officials within the administration and will report directly to the President and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
Earlier, Trump rechristened artificial intelligence as ‘Super Intelligence’ throughout the executive branch. This move followed a summit with technology leaders at the White House, culminating in a signed document deemed the White House Accord on Super Intelligence. According to Trump, tech executives saw this accord as akin to a new constitution, reflecting its importance.
Prominent figures like Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg have expressed support. In a post on X, Zuckerberg described the summit as a positive step, noting the commitment to implementing robust internal controls and conducting thorough audits and reviews within the industry.
