Authorities have accused a group, including current and former students, of engaging in drug trafficking activities within the Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi fraternity houses at Penn State University. On Tuesday, one of the alleged leaders, Agostino Abbatiello, aged 24, faced arraignment and was denied bail.
Abbattiello faces several felony charges, such as possession with intent to deliver cocaine and conspiracy. In addition to him, 13 other individuals have been charged. This group includes former students and at least four current students at Penn State.
The legal proceedings highlight significant concerns about drug-related activities on campus. The charges underscore the serious nature of drug trafficking activities allegedly taking place within college fraternity environments.
