Dear Eric,
I am the parent of a typical 15-year-old girl. She is everything to me, and I make every effort to support her, despite her usual aloof teenage attitude. Normally, this doesn’t affect me too much.
Lately, she has been asking for money so she can spend time with friends. An opportunity arose at my workplace when they announced a contest to create a safety-themed picture, with the winner receiving $100. My daughter expressed interest in participating and requested a photo of me at work. To help, I had a colleague take a picture of me standing in front of one of the machines at my job, which I then sent to her.
