Text Messages Reveal Fauci’s Private Concerns
Officials voiced their concerns on social media after text messages showed Dr. Anthony Fauci had privately expressed worries about reactions following a second COVID-19 vaccine dose. The messages, released by a Senate committee, suggested a theoretical link between fever after vaccination and miscarriage in the first trimester.
The conversation from January 2021, retrieved from Fauci’s government-issued cellphone, highlighted his concern about fever and other symptoms following vaccination. Fauci mentioned the risk of miscarriage as a theoretical possibility.
Senators and Public Figures Respond
Senator Rand Paul, Republican from Kentucky, and Senator Ron Johnson, Republican from Wisconsin, released the conversation and criticized Fauci on social media. Paul accused Fauci of presenting contradictory messages regarding the vaccine’s safety for pregnant women.
“Once again, Anthony Fauci was saying one thing in public and something completely different in private,” Paul stated.
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier accused Fauci of withholding crucial information. He raised concerns about the safety messaging to pregnant women and the possible impact on miscarriages.
“Pregnant women were told it was safe! How many women lost babies due to Dr. Fauci’s lies,” Uthmeier posted.
Calls for Legal Action
Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene called for Fauci’s arrest, expressing anger over the issue.
“Fauci knew Covid shots cause miscarriages. And still forced the shots. Fauci belongs in prison,” Greene asserted.
Uthmeier further questioned whether Fauci’s guidance might have influenced the occurrence of miscarriages.
“If a Covid vaccine can kill a baby and cause a miscarriage, then imagine all the other things it can do to you. And Fauci knew it and still told people to take it,” Greene added.
Public Health Implications
Senator Johnson’s press release indicated the findings could affect public health policies and informed consent principles. Fauci had previously stated there was no data indicating a preference for vaccination at different pregnancy stages.
Fauci noted that over 10,000 pregnant women had been vaccinated without reported issues.
Dr. Vivek Murthy, involved in the discussion, later highlighted the World Health Organization’s recommendation against Moderna’s vaccine for pregnant women. He warned against strong recommendations that might undermine public confidence.
