The New Orleans Saints spent the offseason enhancing their wide receiver lineup. They made strategic moves in the draft, selecting Jordyan Tyson with the eighth overall pick, followed by Bryce Lance in the fourth round and Barion Brown in the sixth. Additionally, they signed undrafted free agent Brock Rechsteiner, son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner.
However, training camp faced an early setback. The NFL announced on Thursday that Rechsteiner is suspended for the first six games of the 2026 season, as noted in the league’s transaction wire. The specific reason for this suspension has not been disclosed.
Rechsteiner, 23, had a strong tenure at Jacksonville State, achieving 53 receptions for 629 yards and seven touchdowns across 23 games. During his suspension, he is allowed to practice with the Saints and participate in preseason outings. His suspension will commence once the Saints finalize their roster to 53 players on August 30.
Interestingly, Rechsteiner is not the only family member involved in the NFL. His cousin, Bronson Rechsteiner, also known as Bron Breakker in WWE, signed as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020, although his stint was short-lived.
Brock has expressed interest in following the path of professional wrestling, much like his cousin, father, and uncle, Rick Steiner. The Steiner Brothers entered the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022, signifying their impact in wrestling.
