New Jersey Woman Dies in Florida While Visiting Historic Ruins

A 20-year-old woman from New Jersey, Victoria Zardoya, died during a vacation in Florida. Reports indicate she fell while exploring Fort Dade on Egmont Key with friends on Friday.

Egmont Key is a remote island located at the entrance of Tampa Bay and can only be reached by boat. Zardoya shared a close friendship with Milania Guidice, the daughter of Teresa Guidice, a star from “Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Family and friends, as reported by E! News, have been expressing their condolences on social media.

Victoria Zardoya, 20, died after her friends say she fell from ruins while visiting a popular tourist destination in Florida.

Friend Victoria Silberbusch shared details of the accident on social media. She described Zardoya’s injuries as severe and noted that those present quickly responded to offer help.

Zardoya’s friends contacted emergency services, and paramedics arrived by boat. A medical helicopter transported her to a nearby hospital. Tragically, reports state she succumbed to her injuries two days later.

Victoria was never alone. From the moment she fell, every person there did everything within their power to help her,” Silberbusch stated.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office service logs show a response to an incident on Egmont Key occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on Friday. The incident concluded by 11:16 p.m.
