Netanyahu’s office dismissed the ICC’s actions as invalid, noting the former prosecutor, Karim Khan, issued the warrant prior to facing allegations of misconduct. They accuse Khan of trying to deflect attention from these issues.
The statement further criticized Mamdani for allegedly distracting public attention by criticizing the leader of Israel. It calls on Mamdani to address policies impacting New York more directly.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo indicated Mayor Mamdani’s stance as an act of political performance, doubting any arrest would happen. He dismissed Mamdani’s threats as mere posturing.
New York’s former Democratic Mayor Eric Adams also criticized Mamdani, calling his words reckless and potentially dangerous on an international scale. Adams noted that such rhetoric could endanger American personnel globally.
Senator John Fetterman further opposed Mamdani’s comments. He advised Mamdani to address the pressing issues in New York rather than focusing on international disputes outside his jurisdiction.
