Obama mentioned she does not miss having her adult daughters, Malia and Sasha, at home, enjoying the freedom to manage her schedule. The remarks have drawn attention, with California Republican Party Delegate Elizabeth Barcohana expressing that Obama’s statements conveyed a sense of resentment.
“There is a difference between expressing exhaustion from motherhood and expressing resentment,” Barcohana stated. “Resentment appears to come through in Obama’s comments.”
