A Manhattan woman, Tabitha Bundrick, 39, admitted guilt Tuesday in a case involving the deaths of three people. Bundrick fed fentanyl-laced drugs to her clients, intending to rob them. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office detailed her actions between April 2023 and February 2024, where she took personal items such as cell phones, sneakers, money, and watches from her victims.
District Attorney Alvin Bragg stated, “The defendant knowingly killed three people by providing them fentanyl-laced drugs.” Bragg emphasized that Bundrick robbed her victims while they were unconscious, abandoning them to die. Friends or family members found the bodies of the victims in several instances.
Fentanyl deaths can now result in severe penalties for drug dealers under a new GOP proposal.
Bragg highlighted Bundrick’s “shocking indifference” to human life. Her sentencing is set for 27 years to life, covering three counts of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree assault.
Bundrick’s crime spree began on April 30, 2023. She approached Mario Paullan, 42, and a friend on the street, offered to sell soap, and then sex for money. She led them to an apartment she had unlawfully entered. After ingesting the fentanyl-laced drugs, Paullan’s friend awoke the next day to find Paullan dead and their belongings gone.
In another incident, Bundrick encountered Miguel Navez, 39, and administered drugs at his residence. Navez’s brother discovered him deceased three days later, with stolen property. The final occurrence was on February 25, 2024, involving Abrihan Fernandez, 34, found dead in his apartment. Bundrick was observed multiple times entering and leaving the Upper Manhattan apartment carrying large bags.
Her sentencing is scheduled for October 6.
