A 40-year-old man was taken into custody after stabbing a woman during a dispute in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, according to the police. The incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. at a residence on the 7200 block of South Hoyne Avenue.
The confrontation involved a 45-year-old woman and escalated into a fight, during which the man used a sharp object to stab the woman in both the neck and abdomen. Despite fleeing the scene, the suspect was quickly apprehended by responding officers.
The injured woman received medical attention at UChicago Medicine and is currently reported to be in good condition. As the investigation continues, charges against the suspect are pending.
