Jim Jordan Hints at Amendment to Save College Sports Act

Unionization Concerns in College Athletics

Jim Jordan has expressed concerns about the possibility of college athlete unionization. He recognizes that most college athletes, coaches, and universities prefer not to face union-related issues. Such changes could introduce new dynamics and tax implications that currently don’t exist in college sports. Jordan plans to consider these factors in the upcoming lame-duck session following the election.

Controversy Over Colorado’s Alleged Playbook Leak

A fan claimed to have discovered pages from the Colorado Buffaloes’ playbook in a bar at the hotel where the team was staying. The fan, posting under the name ‘VivaTerlingua,’ stated the playbook included opening plays, red zone strategies, and other key information. Although not providing pictures, VivaTerlingua shared these claims on a message board.

Further videos appeared on social media, purportedly showing the same plays that Colorado used in a game against Texas Tech. Despite the absence of evidence linking the playbook to Texas Tech, the content went viral and sparked wide discussion.

Impact on the Game

During the match, Texas Tech performed exceptionally well, holding Colorado’s offense after an initial touchdown. Colorado threw four interceptions in the second half, leading to a 29-7 victory for Texas Tech, and extending their undefeated run to 5-0.

Though there is no proof a Colorado staffer left the playbook, the incident has negatively affected the perception of Colorado coach Deion Sanders and his team, who have struggled recently with heavy losses.
