Located in Kyiv, a new museum stands as a testament to the allure of jellyfish. The museum, spearheaded by Ukrainian refugees, Alex and Yana Yanovsky, features an impressive array of over 20 jellyfish species.
Having spent over two decades in the aquarium industry in Ukraine, the Yanovskys noticed a recurring pattern. Every time they incorporated a jellyfish tank into their exhibits, these ethereal creatures captivated visitors’ attention more than any other marine life.
In response, they decided to create a dedicated space, enhancing their visitors’ experience by showcasing an array of jellyfish species in 21 distinct tanks. The Jellyfish Museum not only celebrates the beauty of these creatures but also educates visitors on their unique characteristics and ecological significance.
The Jellyfish Museum has become an educational hub, shedding light on these fascinating gelatinous beings, all while appealing to the innate curiosity of its visitors.
