“When asked immediately after a game like that, and he didn’t really know what had been said, what do you expect Jude to say?” Kane responded (via BBC Sport).
England’s quarterfinal against Norway ended with a grueling 2-1 extra-time win in the intense Miami heat on Saturday. Jude Bellingham emerged as the hero, scoring both goals, including a dramatic winner in the 93rd minute.
Moments after the match concluded, Tuchel expressed dissatisfaction on TV. “The result is fantastic. We’re in the last four…but not happy with the performance, in every sense,” Tuchel commented on the pitch. “Sloppy, lot of technical mistakes, not fast enough… We were lucky today.”
Bellingham, at 23 years old, defended the performance stating, “Yeah, well, whatever,” pointing out the challenges of playing against Norway’s formidable team, including Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard.
