Flash Floods in Grand Canyon Lead to Casualties

Search and rescue teams have located two bodies after flash floods occurred over the weekend in the Grand Canyon. The National Park Service has stated that more than a dozen individuals are still unaccounted for. Due to these conditions, lodges and hotels within the park have been closed. Additionally, there is a possibility of further rain and flooding.

She received a Peabody Award in 2021 for her contributions to the NewsHour series examining the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rogin has also earned two Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association. Her work has been part of several Emmy-nominated teams, including coverage of major events such as the fall of ISIS in 2020, the Las Vegas mass shooting in 2017, President Barack Obama’s inauguration in 2014, and the 2010 midterm elections.
