FBI Investigates Leak Involving Qatari-Donated Jet Used by President Trump

Recently, the FBI has been investigating security concerns surrounding a jet donated by Qatar. This jet was used by President Trump for a trip to Turkey. The investigation follows reports by The New York Times about potential security risks.

FBI agents have been seeking to speak with several individuals who traveled on the plane with President Trump. They have requested access to their mobile phones as part of the investigation. These individuals include members of the U.S. Secret Service who accompanied the President.

Sources familiar with the situation have indicated that the Secret Service leadership advised their personnel to refer any outside inquiries to their legal teams. Attempts to gain more information from government officials have continued following subpoenas served to several Times reporters. These subpoenas compel their testimony before a grand jury in Manhattan this week.

The New York Times has challenged the administration’s actions, labeling them as an intimidation tactic against journalists. Leading the investigation are FBI Director Kash Patel and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. They aim to identify individuals who may have shared confidential information about the new Air Force One.

These developments are unfolding as the administration seeks more data concerning the security issues tied to the jet, which have been highlighted in recent media reports.
