El-Sayed Challenges Mike Rogers After Primary Win

Abdul El-Sayed, a progressive contender, secured a win in the Michigan Democratic Senate primary, narrowly defeating Haley Stevens. Reporting from Belleville, Michigan, senior national correspondent Rich Edson provides insight into El-Sayed’s win. Meanwhile, Rep. Jim Banks from Indiana highlights El-Sayed’s support for the Democratic Socialists of America platform, focusing on healthcare and border policies.

As Election Day nears, campaign finance data reveals that tens of millions connected to George Soros have been funneled into major Democratic campaigns. By late June, the Soros-backed Democracy PAC and Democracy PAC II had disbursed over $40 million to Democratic allies. Notably, recipients include the Schumer-aligned Senate Majority PAC, the House Majority PAC, and the J Street Action Fund, which often criticizes Israeli government policies.

El-Sayed, who emphasizes removing money’s influence in politics as a central campaign theme, indirectly benefits from Soros-linked funding through Michigan’s external Democratic groups. Senate Majority PAC, which gained $9 million from Soros’s Democracy PAC, has dedicated $30 million to support El-Sayed in Michigan.

The systemic corruption in politics stems from a framework allowing corporations, oligarchs, and billionaires to influence politicians,” El-Sayed commented in a 2025 interview.

He added his intent to eliminate political money, boost citizens’ financial well-being, and advocate for Medicare for all. Despite requests, El-Sayed’s campaign did not comment when approached by Fox News Digital on Monday. On September 28, El-Sayed is expected at a California fundraiser led by Jeffrey Soros, nephew to George Soros.

Alyssa Brouillet, speaking for Republican Senate hopeful Mike Rogers, criticized El-Sayed, arguing his stance against political money doesn’t apply when it benefits him. She claimed Rogers is combating Big Pharma and calling for reduced gas taxes to aid working families. The complete picture of Soros family’s 2026 political spending will clarify with future campaign finance reports.

FBI investigations have targeted Soros-supported voter groups in suspected fraud probes. At the Michigan Democratic Party’s 2026 nominating convention, El-Sayed addressed attendees, aiming to appeal to moderates in this pivotal state election.

Soros family funding extends to both federal and non-federal branches of their Justice & Public Safety PAC, primarily supporting progressive prosecutors nationwide. With around $2 million collected, their agenda includes reducing imprisonment, ending cash bail, and electing progressive legal officials. Additionally, their financing backs the expansion of rights for illegal immigrants and addressing alleged law enforcement racism.

Other beneficiary organizations include the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund and Fair Fight, which bolsters Democrat efforts in Georgia. The Working Families Party PAC, active in New York, also benefits from Soros family support. Democratic governors Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania and Abigail Spanberger of Virginia received Soros’s financial backing in 2025.

The exact scope of Soros’s 2026 political activities will emerge post-election, as some spending funnels through 501(c)(4) nonprofits, which disclose finances annually. Between 2022-2023, George Soros transferred leadership of his political and philanthropic network to his son, Alex Soros.

The Soros family spokesperson did not comment when Fox News Digital reached out on Monday.
