Nairobi: Health officials are urgently working to contain an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The World Health Organization suspects the outbreak began several months before it was formally announced.
According to government data reported by the Associated Press, there have been 2,011 deaths and 4,381 confirmed cases.
In Bunia, volunteers donned protective gear to recover the body of a 3-year-old child, presumed to have died from Ebola in June. This scene underscores the severity of the situation.
