Donald Trump Jr. Comments on Evidence in Charlie Kirk Assassination Case

Donald Trump Jr. expressed his views on the evidence presented at the preliminary hearing for Tyler Robinson, accused of assassinating Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk. He revealed that the evidence was more straightforward than he initially anticipated.

During an interview on “America’s Newsroom,” Trump Jr. stated, “Once this hard evidence was laid out to me in a courtroom before my very eyes, seeing the reaction of the defense, this thing is much more cut and dry than I would have ever even imagined.” He conveyed confidence that Robinson would be found guilty, noting that the outcome appeared “very clear.”

The preliminary hearing for Robinson started on Monday and is expected to continue throughout the week. Prosecutors are required to establish probable cause for the judge to proceed with a trial on various charges, including aggravated murder, which could result in the death penalty. Robinson stands accused of fatally shooting Kirk, aged 31, during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.

Trump Jr. attended the hearing to support both Kirk’s legacy and his family, including his widow Erika and his parents. He told Fox News, “It was just important to be there. It’s a legacy that really needs to be preserved.”

He emphasized the generational impact Charlie Kirk had on many Americans, particularly young people, and felt it essential to witness the evidence firsthand rather than speculate publicly.
