The decision came after O’Brien, who held the position of chair of the Montana Democratic Party, stepped down from her role on Monday. She expressed concerns over Bankhead’s policies and commitments.
O’Brien highlighted specific issues in a statement on MS NOW, questioning Bankhead’s dedication to upholding women’s rights, supporting working individuals, and her perspective on poverty. These doubts have led her to endorse Bodnar for the Senate seat.
Bankhead was seen at a candidate forum on October 1 in Whitefish, as she continues her campaign amidst internal party challenges.
