DEA Involvement in Probe of Hayden Panettiere’s Death

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has joined the investigation into the death of actress Hayden Panettiere. This follows after her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, broke his silence regarding her unexpected passing. Hickerson’s lawyer, Sloan Ellis, issued a statement emphasizing that Panettiere’s death is still under investigation. The authorities have noted there are no indications of foul play.

According to the Greenville Police Department, they collaborate with the Coroner’s Office to review facts and evidence in such cases. Although no initial signs of foul play were found, the investigation continues. Both police and DEA are assisting in uncovering further details about her passing.

Panettiere, known for her roles in ‘Nashville’ and ‘Remember the Titans’, died at the age of 36. She was discovered unresponsive and in cardiac arrest in a Greenville, South Carolina apartment. Efforts to revive her were unsuccessful, and preliminary reports indicate no trauma contributed to her death.

The investigation also revealed that Brian Hickerson and his brother, Zach, called 911 upon finding Panettiere. They later provided authorities with a bag of medication she was reportedly taking. This incident prompted a search of the apartment and welfare checks at a home associated with the Hickerson brothers.

Panettiere and Hickerson’s relationship was tumultuous, marked by legal issues involving domestic violence charges against him. Despite their rocky history, Hickerson’s brother affirmed that Brian and Panettiere were in a relationship at the time of her death. Hickerson recently attempted to reduce his felony charges related to previous domestic violence incidents.

The situation remains developing as authorities continue their investigation. Fans and family await further findings by top law enforcement agencies involved.
