Co-pilot Attempts Terrorist Act on FlyDubai Flight

UAE officials reported a concerning incident involving FlyDubai Flight 1073. The co-pilot of the flight, which was en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv, attempted to seize control of the aircraft to execute a terrorist act.

The flight had Israeli passengers who had previously been on another FlyDubai aircraft that needed to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. This flight was approaching Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv on Wednesday when the event unfolded.

The co-pilot attacked the captain with a crash ax in the cockpit. UAE Attorney General Hamad Saif Al Shamsi confirmed in a statement released on Saturday through the official Emirates News Agency that the co-pilot made an effort to hijack the aircraft.
