Phil Pritchard, known as the ‘Keeper of the Cup,’ shared a video of Carrier assembling the poutine in the bowl of the Stanley Cup. The video highlighted an important detail: the trophy was lined with parchment paper, making it easier to clean and preventing any gravy from touching the metal surface directly. This precaution is wise, considering the varied uses the Cup endures, including serving as a makeshift bathtub for children in past celebrations.
Carrier, who secured his second Stanley Cup victory in June, previously achieved this honor with the Vegas Golden Knights in 2023. The Hurricanes’ recent win has given Carrier another opportunity to celebrate in style.
