The technical foul was removed after Clark’s Indiana Fever won against the Chicago Sky, preventing an automatic suspension that would have barred her from competing against the New York Liberty.
Without the reversal, Clark’s absence would have been a major setback for Indiana as they progress through the season. The WNBA spokesperson confirmed to The Associated Press the technical foul was rescinded shortly after the game.
During the third quarter, Clark made contact with a referee after being pushed out of bounds, resulting in the technical foul. Despite this incident, the Fever triumphed with a 90-86 victory.

Clark immediately advocated for the technical foul’s removal, stating the contact was accidental and did not involve verbal altercations. She believed the league would thoroughly review and overturn the call.
“She said I ran into her,” Clark noted regarding the referee’s reaction. “I have already watched it on the tape. So, we’ll let the league decide. But, it wasn’t anything intentional or anything. So, I hope it gets rescinded. And, nothing was said.”
