The Los Angeles Dodgers stood out by wearing rainbow hats to show support for the LGBTQ+ community. In contrast, the Texas Rangers decided not to participate in Pride month events, focusing instead on an upcoming “Faith and Family Night.”
The San Francisco Giants held a notable event as part of their Pride Night celebration. The team invited ten gay couples to renew their wedding vows on the field before their game. This ceremony, which included a drag queen presentation, took place at Oracle Park.
“It’s about making a visible statement of support,” remarked a spectator attending the game.
However, the Giants’ efforts on Pride Night did not translate into success on the field, as they were defeated by the Chicago Cubs with a score of 5-1.
