Authorities Search for Missing 73-Year-Old in Adirondack Mountains

A 73-year-old man has been missing for over three weeks after authorities found his empty RV at a secluded campsite in the Adirondack Mountains. The New York State Police (NYSP) report that Craig K. Streeter of Mahopac was last seen on August 2 at a Stewart’s Shop located in Indian Lake.

Streeter is known to disconnect for brief periods. However, his lack of contact in recent weeks has raised concerns. The search began after New York State Forest Rangers discovered Streeter’s RV at campsite 36 on Moose River Road in the town of Inlet, with no signs of recent activity.

The search effort has expanded, involving multiple law enforcement agencies as authorities attempt to locate Streeter. As of now, there are no indications of foul play. Streeter was last spotted wearing a dark-colored long-sleeve shirt and jeans before he left the store in his RV.

Police are reaching out for public assistance. They are asking anyone who might have seen Streeter in the area of Moose River Road or surrounding remote camping areas to contact them. Information can be provided to the New York State Police at 518-897-2000.

The search continues as authorities seek any information that may lead to locating the missing outdoorsman.
