Amber’s NYC Adventure and More

Amber’s NYC Adventure and More

Tuesday has come around, and as I sit in BNA, waiting for my flight to New York City, I can’t help but reflect on the adventure ahead. The bustling city awaits, a place as vibrant as it is iconic. Yes, I’m a country bumpkin heading to the big city.

I’m on my way to Fox headquarters, staying near Times Square. Expect a quiet time, right? Well, not so much. But don’t worry; I’m somewhat familiar with NYC. My last visit was in December 2015 when I was with the Tennessee Titans as their social media manager. Unfortunately, the trip for the Jets game wasn’t great football-wise, but the food was incredible, and seeing the Rockefeller Christmas tree made it worthwhile.

As we gear up for a new journey, let me share some stories with you. Keep those seat backs upright, and brace yourselves for the ride.

The Scots in Miami

The Tartan Army has made its way to Miami after leaving Boston bars dry, which is no small feat. This kind of marketing opportunity is unique. My grad school instructor, Tim McGuire, believed in seizing problems as opportunities. Help people solve issues and profit from it. Sadly, my journalism degree only qualifies me to vent in my columns. But whoever saw Europeans loving ranch dressing and created travel kits for it would make Tim proud.

Our Scottish friends are now mixing with Miami’s crowd, capturing selfies, and mingling with the local scene, proving America’s melting-pot nature.

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Prepare

The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders are gearing up, and it’s not as simple as you might think. Preparing pompoms involves hours of detailed work, from separating strands to crafting them perfectly. Julissa, a cheerleader, shared a tutorial that was exhausting to watch.

Attention to detail is crucial for these cheerleaders. Their pay hike to $150,000 makes this demanding task more palatable compared to the rest of the league’s cheerleaders, who work for minimal compensation. The DCC’s dedication shows their commitment to excellence.

Simone Biles’ Response to Online Criticism

Simone Biles faced a mysterious medical scare recently. After healing, she went to Belize and shared photos online. Sadly, some people responded negatively.

“ugh these comments make me sad. a little over two weeks ago, I experienced a serious medical emergency that could have ended very differently, and this trip has been part of allowing myself to heal & appreciate being here,” Simone wrote.

Her response highlighted the importance of empathy and understanding towards others’ experiences. Displaying her resilience, she encouraged a kinder perspective.

Debate Over Hailey Bieber’s Photos

Hailey Bieber became the new model for SKIMS, Kim Kardashian’s brand. After Justin Bieber shared her campaign photos, the internet debated its appropriateness.

The images were public, used for marketing by SKIMS. Some considered Justin’s post a sign of pride, others deemed it inappropriate for sharing. This raises a compelling discussion: is sharing your spouse’s professional, revealing images as an actor or model a gesture of pride or disrespect?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this issue for a future column. Feel free to email me your opinions, and if anonymity is preferred, let me know.
