Drew Carey Criticizes Spencer Pratt’s Los Angeles Mayoral Campaign

Drew Carey, host of “The Price is Right,” recently used social media to comment on Spencer Pratt’s campaign for mayor of Los Angeles. Carey shared his thoughts on Threads, urging LA voters to reconsider their options before the upcoming primaries.

“Anyone who votes for, or endorses Spencer Pratt for Mayor of LA needs to get their head out of their…” Carey expressed. “At least support someone competent and not a serial scammer without moral compass,” he added.

Spencer Pratt, known for his past television appearances, has actively supported LA residents since losing his home in the 2025 Palisades wildfire. Launching his campaign in January, Pratt aims to replace incumbent Mayor Karen Bass, citing her handling of LA fires as a reason.

Pratt, along with his wife Heidi Montag and other affected property owners, filed a lawsuit against the city and LADWP, blaming them for home damages during the wildfire. They claimed LADWP managed the water system poorly, calling it a “cost-saving” decision.

As primaries approach, Pratt encouraged residents to “think bigger for LA,” promising improvements. His campaign sees both support and criticism due to his Republican affiliation and endorsement from Donald Trump. Trump’s comments on the “rigged” voting system in California fuel discussions around the election’s fairness.

Pratt emphasizes his independence from political parties, stating that he focuses on the city’s betterment rather than party politics. Registered as a Republican, the Los Angeles mayoral race remains officially nonpartisan, with potential for a runoff if no candidate wins over 50% in the June primary.
