Sen. Cruz Warns of Far-Left Shift if El-Sayed Wins Senate Race

Senator Ted Cruz of Texas has raised concerns about the potential implications of Abdul El-Sayed winning a Michigan Senate race. Cruz warns that such a victory may lead to a significant shift to the far-left within the Democratic Party.

Cruz believes the Democratic leadership is apprehensive because radical elements within their ranks wield substantial power and resources. He suggests that if El-Sayed wins in 2026, it could pave the way for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a promotional Democratic presidential nominee in 2028.

Cruz expressed grave concerns regarding El-Sayed’s possible election, stating that it might jeopardize U.S. security. He warned that El-Sayed’s potential placement on the Senate Intelligence Committee, traditionally privy to sensitive information, could present a risk.

“If Abdul El-Sayed becomes the senator from Michigan, there is absolutely nothing to stop Chuck Schumer from placing Abdul El-Sayed on the Senate Intelligence Committee. The Senate Intelligence Committee has access to our most closely-guarded secrets.”

Cruz has further alleged connections between El-Sayed and the Muslim Brotherhood, a claim that El-Sayed has firmly denied. The Democratic candidate told Fox News that he has never been involved with the Brotherhood and remains committed to serving the United States and upholding the Constitution.

El-Sayed is competing against Mike Rogers, a former representative backed by Donald Trump. While Cruz publicly supported Rogers during a campaign rally in Michigan, both El-Sayed’s and Rogers’ campaigns refrained from commenting on Cruz’s claims immediately.

As the race intensifies, supporters of El-Sayed have called for substantial economic changes to address the cost crisis.
